This year it seems impossible to attend college or library to study. You must, therefore, start studying at home. Here are a few tips to help you study more effectively at home.

· Study at the right time

Every one of us has the most productive and least productive time of the day. Discover yours and start studying at that time. It’s likely you can absorb more at that time and study for longer hours.

· Decide your study corner or table

You need to dedicate a proper study area. Decide where you are most comfortable and away from distractions, where you can concentrate better. Make that place as your study area. A comfortable place can help you study for longer hours and concentrate more to learn and retain better.

· Create a timetable

Before you start studying, create a timetable. At what time you’ll study which subject. It is difficult to follow the timetable. But make sure to follow it. Make use of the timer to help you stick to your timetable.

· Write what you learn

Writing helps you retain better than just learning. Learning and then memorising your notes should be backed up with writing them down, at least the main points. So that those points are stuck in your head and you won’t forget them.

· Make notes

While reading a book make sure to note down important points or something you feel can be asked in exams or are necessary to be recalled. Making notes will help you when you are preparing for the exams.

· Teach yourself

The best way to understand and remember a concept is to explain yourself as a teacher would. Be your own teacher. Also, learn the concept as if you would have to teach it someone else. This helps to understand the concept better.

· Avoid distractions

Keep the distractions at bay. Avoid peeping on your mobile every 10 min. distractions won’t let you remember anything. Everything you read spending your ten minutes will be a total waste if you get distracted so easily. You can try meditating to improve concentration and focus.
