“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”Matthew 5:44

Enemies are quite a common term, to define it enemies are someone who is not our friend but that doesn’t mean every person who is not our friend is our enemy. Enemies are basically our opponents not necessarily in sports and academics, it can be anything deeply concerned to an individual. As we have friends similarly we have enemies, some of them are open to you and some hidden behind the mask of friendship. Friendship happens due to love and enemies due to hatred. And hatred can’t kill hatred but love can and therefore you must love your enemies. Loving your enemies doesn’t mean you must be friends with them but it’s necessary to co-exist peacefully.

Here’s why you must love your enemies!

· Your enemies will never have anything good to say about you, so whenever you hear something mean or nasty from an enemy, you might want to take a step back and evaluate yourself. What they say might be true or false but at least you take a dig into yourself and thus try to improve your conduct which is only beneficial to you.

· No one can ever make you angry as much as your enemy can and thus they are the ones responsible for your anger management skills. You will definitely get angry when your enemy says or does something against you but how you react to it is important, if you truly learn to control your anger, it will enrich your patience and again your enemy is responsible to make you more patient, which is a good reason to love your enemy.

· A lot of times we take positivity for granted, we forget to respect the positive people that exist in our life but when such a negative person enters your life, you truly start to understand the importance of positivity. Your enemy who wishes bad for you unintentionally does so well for you and therefore, you must love your enemy.

· Enemies bring only toxic emotions like hate. Hate is a big word and it affects the hater more than the one being hated and thus there’s no point in hating someone, either love them or ignore them. With love, you can convert enemies into friends and who doesn’t need a friend.
