The iconic cricket field ad has been recreated by Cadbury but this time, it is the boyfriend who cheers his girlfriend cricketer. It is the recreation of their ad released in 1994 where the girl cheers her boyfriend’s win with carefree dance on the cricket field.

This Cadbury ad is a tribute to the women athletes and the motive of the ad was to celebrate and cheer the women who are making success stories by coming up as the strong role models for the youth.

After watching this Cadbury ad, singer-music director Shankar Mahadevan felt nostalgic which is clearly visible from his post on Instagram.

The original Cadbury song, Kuch Khaas Hai which was sung by Shankar Mahadevan has been retained as well. He has posted the ad on his Instagram handle captioning “After 27 years it is back!! The roles are reversed!! They decided to retain the same song that I had recorded then in 1994!! Nostalgiaaaa.”

Many of his friends from the music industry too felt nostalgic after seeing the recreated Cadbury ad. Singer Harshdeep Kaur wrote, “Wow!! Brought back all the old memories.” Another singer Anusha Mani mentioned “This is so amazing! The iconic jingle by Louis Banks and you with the most amazing take on the film!!”

Many of Shankar’s fans got emotional over the internet seeing the old recreated ad which is visible from their messages on Instagram. On the Instagram post of Cadbury, Dia Mirza and Navya Naveli Nanda have commented with heart emojis.
