Harry Potter series, the books and the movies are the most loved among the millennials. It’s not hidden how much every one of us wanted to join Hogwarts school. However, Harry Potter as a series has taught us many life lessons and often relatable ones. Though the movie is in the fantasy world and we don’t face such dangerous troubles as Harry does but still, his way of dealing with problems can be a great lesson for us. Here are some lessons out of many lessons we learned from the series.
· Most of the times, to get what we want we have to face our fears. Running away from fears is not a great way to deal with it, you have to face your fears to win the life race. We can’t stay in our bubble for a lifetime. In the movie, ‘ The chamber of secrets’, harry faces the spider which helps him overcome it.
· Best friends are always going to be there with us when we are stuck in the problem. Whenever harry was in a problem which was quite often, Ron and Hermione were always there with him. Together they have come out with a solution and overcame the trouble.
· We can’t change the past as it is gone, but we can definitely change our future. Exactly what harry did! He had a horrible past but he didn’t want to change it, as his past has made him what he is. Instead, he decided to make a brighter and promising future for himself.
· Power is a great and terrible thing. When it’s used for good, power has the ability to change the world for the better. When it’s used for evil though, power has the ability to destroy it. So when you are at power always use it with caution.
· Wisdom doesn’t come only through reading but true wisdom comes through ageing. Dumbledore always had some best pieces of advice for Harry, whenever he got stuck somewhere. It can be clearly seen that he is a wise man and has obtained wisdom through over the years.
· Sometimes our enemies turn out to be our friends in disguise. Sometimes we judge someone on their first impression on us and boom they are our enemy, without a second thought, we start hating them but then when actually start getting to know them you understand that they are actually nice people.
· Never go anywhere, without letting at least one person know about it or take someone with you. It applies in today’s world too. Doesn’t matter women or men, many stories have proven it that only if they would have told someone where they are going, they would be saved. Hermione taught us this through the scene where she was discovering a psychotic troll in the girl’s bathroom while alone.
