Ever thought of replacing your junk food with healthy food?

People always crave for junk foods more than healthy food. And once you get along with the habit of junk food you can’t stop craving for it. But all these junk foods are not good for health and has caused much harm to your body. There is a tremendous increase in junk food chains in India, it is really hard to keep yourself away from junk foods. There is a wide increase in obesity and other medical conditions due to such foods.

But contrary, eating healthy is important nowadays to have good health and stay active in life. There are various funk food items like chips, bakery items, soft drinks, sugary items, etc

Here are few substitutes of junk food to think of in daily life-

  • Whole wheat bread

Whole wheat bread is far better than refined flour bread, it is a lot healthy. You intake more fiber through the whole wheat bread and many essential nutrients rather than plain white flour bread. It tastes almost similar and gives you the same satisfaction.

  • Dark bitter chocolate 

Chocolate is loved by many, but you know that it contains high sugar and fat content that can cause acne, obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure. So we can shift from normal chocolate to dark bitter chocolate which has considerably less sugar and fat level. Hence it is a healthier option. Chocolate contains nutrients like zinc, phosphorus, copper, iron, fiber, magnesium, and selenium.

  • Baked veggies or chips

Deep frying of chips and veggies is an unhealthy way of consuming a lot of oil. Options like shallow frying and baking are healthier and they satisfy the craving well.

  • Grilled/roasted chicken

Everyone loves chicken, but it turns out that fried chicken is not nutritious and consumes unnecessary oil affecting your health adversely. But there are healthy ways to consume it, you can either roast or grilled chicken along with seasonings. This is a good way of enjoying your chicken with the same taste but without harmful fats

  • Fruit smoothies

Smoothies are always a great option rather than cold drinks for soft drinks. They are healthy and nutritious.

  • Frozen yogurt

Frozen yogurt is a great substitute for sugar ice creams. You don’t have to sacrifice your sweet tooth, but replace eat with frozen yogurt. Frozen yogurt has considerable e lesser fats and sugar and is rich in probiotics
