We all have past relationships. Either complicated ones or really serious ones. You probably tend to do mistakes in the process of your relationship. Breakup changes a person entirely can change their perspective with regards to relationships, love, and dating. We probably knowingly or unknowingly hurt ourselves or our partners

Here are a few things I would have liked to tell my younger self about love, dating, and relationships:

  • Prioritize yourself first

Love yourself first; make yourself the first priority of your life. You’d say u love yourself but there will be situations in your life when you start doubting that feeling and not love yourself as much as required. This feeling might make it very difficult for you to love your partner. So make sure you love yourself first and then your partner.

  • Do not avoid breakups

Heartbreaks are horrible but you cannot ignore them you might have know people telling you how hard a breakup is. But you should never avoid breaking up with someone if you observe problems in your relationship. Grow out from the heartbreak and move on because there are plenty of people in the world and not necessary if one breaks heart the next one will also do the same.

  • Do not jump into a relationship right after your breakup

The Break-up phase is really difficult. You might have to find a lot of distractions to keep your mind occupied but starting a new relationship is not the solution. Some say if you to date someone initially it might help you in moving on from your previous relationship but that’s not entirely true. It will just mess up your system of emotions. Instead, use this time to understand your emotions and also get done with it and prepare yourself for a new start.

  • No one is perfect

Usually, we try to compare ourselves with others and complain about ourselves. You can’t say someone is more beautiful than you and feel bad about yourself. Nobody is perfect, everybody has faults; everyone has their own problems to deal with. So the earlier you start accepting this fact the easier it is to live a happy life.
