Casual dating means dating a person without any commitment. There are many people engaging in this type of dating activities. It’s just for fun and enjoyment. People often get into casual dating to be able to hang out more often with a particular person without giving any sort of commitment. People who are not ready for relationships and lifetime commitments but want someone to have a romantic and sexual relationship with often choose casual dating. It’s quite common these days. If you are engaged in one, here are some rules you must never forget.

· Be honest

Be utterly honest with what you want and expect from the casual dating relationship. Don’t give false hopes to anyone and hurt their feelings later on. Clear things well in the beginning before you even agree to a date to avoid later complications.

· No possessiveness or jealousy

It’s casual dating, you shouldn’t be getting possessive about your date and his ex or even current girlfriends. Similarly, even your date shouldn’t get jealous or possessive about your connections outside the dating. Casual relationships don’t have enough time to get into this kind of a mess.

If your date starts behaving as if you are committed, end it there and then.

· Be respectful

Even if you are in a casual relationship, you should not disrespect the other person. Everyone deserves to be respected. They have feelings too, if by chance they fall for you and you are not ready, state it clearly without insulting them or making them feel bad. If things don’t work out between you too, have the decency to smile at them whenever you cross each other on streets or bar.

· Define the relationship

Defining the relationship is necessary. Casual dating doesn’t have a definition and needs to be defined by the couple with mutual understanding and according to their limits. If you want just a casual date whom you can hang out with and you are not up for physical intimacy, you must state it clearly while defining the boundaries. What is acceptable and what is not should be clearly mentioned.

· Go out often

Hangout more often, get to know each other. If you enjoy each other’s company make sure you go on dates to the restaurants, movies and parks. Netflix and chill at either person’s house, cooking together and visiting each other at home is not what comes under casual dating it’s clearly couples zone. You must instead hang out and go to exciting places together.
