Taapsee Pannu is a happy-go-lucky woman with a bright smile. She was born and raised in the city of Delhi. Her father encouraged her to pursue post-secondary education, and she complied. She feels she would have decided to be a management professional if she had received a 90 on the CAT exam, but fate had other plans; Taapsee received an 88 on the exam.

She formed The Western Dance Group with a few students at GTBIT College. Tapsee was the captain of the crew and had won numerous intercollegiate events. Taapsee Pannu is a Kathak dancer who learned the art form from Birju Maharaj’s students. She acknowledges that the glitzy nightlife of Delhi had never captivated her and that she had always followed her parents’ rule of going home early and on time.

Her relatives don’t have any experience in the film industry. Taapsee Pannu’s parents were also unsure about her acting and modelling prospects. Her father was a firm believer in a solid educational foundation, while her mother was a fan of Indian cinema.

Taapsee Pannu came across the Get Gorgeous Pageant held by Channel V one day while searching the Internet, and she casually filled out the form.

She was chosen, much to her astonishment! That was the start of her modelling career. Taapsee had also won the Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin and Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face titles, which we all agree on.

Pantaloons, Reliance Trends, Vardhman, UniStyle Image, Coca-Cola, Dabur, PVR Cinemas, Airtel, Motorola, Red FM 93.5, Tata Docomo, Havells, World Gold Council, and Standard Chartered Bank are among the products Taapsee Pannu has promoted.

In 2010, she made her acting debut in K. Raghavendra Rao’s Telugu romantic musical film Jhummandi Naadam.

In Aadukalam, her next and presumably first Tamil film, she was cast opposite Dhanush. In 2011, the film was released.

The film won critical acclaim and six honours at the 58th National Film Awards.

Chashme Baddoor, starring Siddharth Suryanarayan, Rishi Kapoor, and Ali Zafar, was her Bollywood debut. She won the Edison Award for Most Enthusiastic Female Performer (2014) for her exceptional performance in Arrambam, a Tamil film released in 2013.

She starred in the critically acclaimed and financially successful picture Baby in 2015. After that, she appeared in the drama Pink (2016), the war picture The Ghazi Attack (2017), Naam Shabana, and the comedy Judwaa 2. (2017).

Taapsee Pannu portrayed a sexual abuse victim in the film Pink. The film received positive reviews and was named Best Film on a Social Issue at the 67th National Film Awards in 2017. Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury directed the film.

For her portrayal in Naam Shabana, Taapsee also got the Zine Cine Award for Extraordinary Impact Actor (Female). She was also nominated for Best Actress at the Zine Cine Awards for the same role.

For her upcoming sports film, Shabaash Mithu, the actress is now sharpening her cricket skills. She will play a professional cricketer in the film, and she has been undergoing cricket training in preparation for the part. Rashmi Rocket and Loop Lapeta are also in the works.

Starting from scratch and not having any strong background in bollywood Taapsee Pannu had made great success in Film industry. Through her story it can be seen that she has lead her life on her own terms.
