Hardik Himanshu Pandya is an Indian cricketer who represents Baroda in domestic cricket and Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He is a right-handed all-rounder who bats and bowlers fast-medium right-arm. Krunal Pandya, his older brother, is also a cricketer who has played for India. He bats left-handed and bowls slow left-arm orthodox as an all-rounder. In November of last year, he made his international debut for India. He became the first cricketer to reach a half-century in an ODI in 2021.

Prior to donning the Indian shirt, the Pandya brothers had gone through a large sea of setbacks by having the common objective of playing the sport at the greatest level.

The Pandya family used to live in Surat, but when their father’s business took a turn for the worst, the brothers were given greater financial responsibilities. To help support their families, both brothers had to put in a lot of effort in local tournaments to earn some extra money.

Economic uncertainty had an impact on the ground while playing, as Hardik Pandya once stated in an interview about surviving the day on a package of Maggi Noodles to save money.

Furthermore, while initially representing their domestic team Baroda, the brothers were left to play with only one bat, despite having some exquisite cricket gear.
Pandya’s breakthrough came when the MI franchise signed him for Rs. 15 lakh for the 2015 IPL season, demonstrating his dedication.

Krunal was purchased by MI for INR 2 crores in the 2016 auction, marking the senior Pandya’s first appearance. The Pandya brothers’ have won our hearts with their amazing performance on the field, but their sibling story of rags to riches is a perfect inspiration for today’s youth.
