The path from waiter to Bollywood star is far from straightforward. It is the story of none other than Akshay Kumar, our all-time favorite action star. His trip from Bangkok as a waiter to Bollywood was not without bumps, but he nevertheless managed to win the hearts of millions of young women in India and beyond thanks to his acting abilities.

From the beginning, Akshay Kumar was disinterested in his academics, and as soon as he finished his 12th, he dropped out and began working in menial jobs. After some time, he moved to Bangkok and began working as a waiter. He also picked up some martial arts skills in Bangkok.

After spending 4 to 5 years on loan in Bangkok, he returned to Mumbai and began working at Metro Guest House as well as sharing a room. After that, he went to Bangladesh.

After returning from Bangladesh, Akshay Kumar began teaching martial arts to students, and one of his students’ fathers approached him and offered him a modeling contract. He began his career as a model, then moved on to become a background dancer, owing to his good physique and appearance.

It’s generally believed that if it’s written in your fate, you’ll get it. This occurred to superstar Akshay Kumar once when he missed his trip to Bangalore for a modeling gig and grew agitated. After missing his trip, he went door to door, studio to studio with his portfolio in the hopes of landing work, and this proved to be a distinct change for him when Pramod Chakraborty cast Akshay as the lead in his film “Deedar” (1992).

Akshay Kumar made his acting debut in 1991 with the film “Saugandh,” and he hasn’t looked back since. He has consistently proven himself by delivering hit films after hit films.

Akshay Kumar received the highest Japanese award of Katara in 2009 and is a six-degree black belt in Karate. He was also given the prestigious Padam Shri by the Indian government. He received Asian honors in 2011 for his remarkable contribution to the film industry. In 2008, People Magazine named him the sexiest man alive.
