Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam (15 October 1931 – 27 July 2015) was an Indian aerospace scientist who had done a marvelous contribution to space research. And later became a politician who served because of the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He was born and raised in Rameswaram, in the state of Tamil Nadu and was very studious and studied physics and aerospace engineering. He spent almost four decades of his life as a scientist and science administrator in famous organizations mainly at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He was intimately involved in India’s civilian space programs and military missile development efforts and so was a great influence on most of the Indian youngsters. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, popularly known as the ‘Missile Man’ of India, was a source of inspiration for tens and thousands of Indians and the most favorite president of India.

A league apart, his life philosophy and teachings aren’t only admired by the older generation, but especially reminisced by young. Kalam was elected because of the 11th President of India in 2002 with the support of both the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and therefore the then-opposition Indian National Congress.
