· Keep your gadgets away

Don’t keep your gadgets like mobile phones and laptop with you when you go to bed. Mobile phones are a huge distraction to sleep. If you want to sleep peacefully and early, avoid watching movies, using social media or checking emails during bed time. The blue light from the mobile phones affects the production of melatonin which is necessary for restful sleep.

· Read a book

When you go to bed, start reading a book. It’s aa better alternative to mobile screen and also help you sleep faster. Reading a book has proved to reduce stress and calm your mind. So read any book you wish but don’t read a suspense book or else you won’t stop reading.

· Reflect on your day

Before you go to sleep, it’s important that you reflect on your activities of that particular day. Reflection helps us understand ourselves better. Consider your mistakes and try to work on them, appreciate yourselves for your achievements that day. Reflect on what new thing you learned on that day.

· Drink water

Staying hydrated before sleeping is very important because for the next 8-9 hours you aren’t going to drink any water. It may dehydrate your body and make you feel tired the next day. So drink water before you sleep.

· Plan tomorrow’s schedule

Plan out the next day. Schedule all your activities for tomorrow so you don’t have to worry about anything the next day and just go according to the plan.

· Practice gratitude

Be thankful for the beautiful day you were gifted. Be grateful for all the good things that happened to you that day and all the new things you were able to learn. Gratitude helps us stay grounded and it also attracts more situation to be grateful for.
