Here is the easy recipe to make penne Arrabbiata

Ingredients required

Chopped garlic(4-5 cloves),

olive oil(as preferred),

Chopped tomatoes,

tomato puree,

grated red pepper flakes (2 tbsp),

sugar(1tsp),

dried oregano(1/2 tsp),

salt(¼ tsp),

lemon juice(1 tsp),

pack of penne pasta,

shredded Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (½ cup),

thinly chopped basil(¼ cup)

For Garnishing

Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese

fresh basil

Steps to prepare

Step 1

Fry garlic in hot oil in a saucepan over medium or low heat for 1-2 minutes. Then put tomatoes and tomato puree into the saucepan. Cook it, reduce the heat to low.

Then add some red pepper flakes and put in 1 tbsp sugar, 1/2 tbsp dried oregano, salt(as preffered), and 1 tbsp lemon juice, stir it well and cook for 15 – 20 minutes.

Step 2

Cook some pasta on a medium flame, cook it according to package directions. Once the pasta is properly cooked, drain the excess water.

Step 3

Return pasta into the saucepan and sprinkle it with shredded cheese.
Mix basil into tomato sauce, and pour half of the sauce over pasta.

Step 4

Once pasta and sauce mix well with each other, place the pasta on a dish and serve the Arrabbiata pasta with remaining sauce.

Step 5

Garnish, it with some Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and fresh basil.

Your easy and tasty Arrabbiata pasta is ready.
