Advertisements help Facebook make money, but the adverts and banners that constantly appear in your sidebar are bothersome. Of course, Facebook does not want those advertising to be eliminated, and there is no official guide or software for doing it.

You can clean up your browser page by downloading ad-blocking tools to get rid of advertising published by Facebook. The Adblock Plus addon is available for Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. This popular add-on, once installed, prevents ads from being uploaded from specific ad sites.

You can’t entirely avoid seeing Facebook advertising, but you may limit the ads you see based on your surfing history.

Follow these steps:

1. Click “Settings” after logging in to your Facebook account.

You may get to it right now by clicking the three dots beneath your cover photo. To access “Settings,” go to “Profile and Tagging Settings.”

2. In “Settings,” scroll down to the “Ads” section. A variety of ad preferences will be displayed.

3. “Advertisers,” “Ad Topics,” and “Ad Settings” are the three sections under “Ad Preferences.” A list of companies who are currently displaying your adverts on Facebook is available under “Advertisers.” By clicking on “Conceal Ads,” you can hide these advertisements.

4. “Ad Topics” allows you to view fewer advertisements in specific areas. Next to each category, select “Show Fewer.”

5. “Ad Settings” shows you adverts tailored to your preferences. These options can be changed to minimize the quantity of targeted advertising you receive, but not the amount. Simply turn off each option.
