We are familiar with the term feminism which means that no gender should be treated unequally or with injustice. However, in recent years, this type of feminism is developing which is known as pseudo feminism.
Feminism
Feminism is an idea which believes that the point of view of men is preferred in the society and in such communities women are treated unequally. In order to eradicate such practices, various efforts are taken to alter them such as seeking equal educational and professional opportunities for both men and women and also combating gender stereotypes.
There have been various feminist movements which have worked and are continuing to advocate for the rights of women such as right to vote, work, earn fair wages, reduce the gender gap pay, own land, grant maternity leave and to hold equal rights within a marriage.
Pseudo Feminism
Pseudo feminism feels the need to find a remedy to the injustices happening to women. They want to lash out and demean men. And in this process, they tend to forget equality. According to pseudo feminism, women deserve more respect than other genders. Since people on social media are not really aware feminism and hence end up being a pseudo feminist.
Pseudo feminists want a world that is dominated by women. Such women on social media call themselves as feminist and they want equality and recognition for women which they think they deserve.
Feminism is about freedom and people who understand feminism do not carry the feminist tag.
