The 26/11 attack of Mumbai will always be remembered by the world. Numerous people lost their lives in this terror attack that took place at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai Chabad House, The Taj Palace & Tower, The Oberoi Trident, The Nariman House, Cama Hospital, the Metro Cinema and the lane behind St. Xavier’s College, and Times of India building.

The terrorists carried out shooting and bombing attacks killing around 166 people and leaving 300 injured. The terrorists hijacked a fisher trawler and reached Mumbai from the Pakistani port of Karachi. Cars and police vans were hijacked to carry out the attack at various places. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus was the first site to be attacked at 9:20 pm. Around 58 people were killed and more than 100 were injured in the 90 minutes attack.

Somewhat 8 to 10 minutes later another attack was reported at Nariman House and before it, a gas station was set on fire. Around four terrorists attack the famous Leopold Café before entering and attacking the Taj Hotel. The Leopold Café was the first to be attacked on the night of 26/11 where the terrorists lobbed grenades and fired indiscriminately at 9:40 pm. Around 10 people were killed and many others were injured.

The café was shut down for four days and exactly after four days it showed resilience and stood tall against the terror by re-opening it. As the years passed by, the scars of the attack remained behind and the business of the café was back to normal.
