Unlike non-veg chowmein dishes, we can’t truly experiment with different meats with varied flavors and textures that necessitate different seasonings. To spice up your veg chowmein, try this creative and simple recipe for chilli garlic noodles, which will allow you to enjoy noodles in a whole new light. Also, because these noodles cook quickly, they can be your go-to recipe for a speedy noodle supper to satisfy spontaneous cravings.

Chilli Garlic Noodles Recipe

-Ingredients –

1 packet of store-bought noodles

2 onions, sliced

1 large or 2 medium spring onions, chopped

5-6 garlic bulbs, minced or chopped

Vegetable oil for cooking

Olive oil for dressing

Salt to taste

Black pepper powder to taste

2 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tbsp red chilli sauce

1-2 green chilli, chopped

1 tsp soy sauce

1 tsp vinegar

Spring onion greens for garnishing

Method –

Step 1: Cook the noodles according to the package directions. Meanwhile, finely cut the onions and garlic.

Step 2:  Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic until it loses its raw fragrance. Sauté the chopped green chilli, chopped spring onions, and onion slices for a few minutes, or until the onions soften.

Step 3: Stir in the tomato sauce, chilli sauce, salt, and black pepper. For approximately a minute, stir.

Step 4: Stir in the boiled noodles, soy sauce, and vinegar. Combine with the remaining ingredients and heat for 1-2 minutes.

Step 5: Remove from the heat, drizzle with olive oil, and garnish with spring onion greens. Serve immediately.
