Since we choose our friends entirely on our own, friendship is perhaps the most cherished of all partnerships. We are not given, but rather given, parents and relations. That has worth all on its own. A friend, on the other hand, is someone who connects with our hearts and who we feel a strong magnetic pull towards. A friendship may endure a lifetime or even longer when there is a mutual reaction between two individuals who are becoming friends! `
The coming together of equals is friendship. There is a concept of equality that forbids any sense of superiority or inferiority, regardless of differences in abilities, duties, or positions. The ability to see things equally allows for full acceptance of one another.
This fosters intimacy. There is such a respectful intimacy between them that neither one interferes with the other’s individuality nor does either one harbor resentment for any perceived flaw. The true goodness of the other is constantly kept as the standard of their reality since the vision is unbounded. Weaknesses are viewed as something alien that will go at the proper moment.
True friendships never end with divorce. Love can actively transform any imperfection with a word of inspiration, a smile of patience, or a deed of compassion in addition to accommodating it. With a buddy, you don’t need to prove yourself because they accept and adore you for who you are and that’s enough. No unique accomplishments are required. Being yourself is all that a friend requires of you. When there is a need for assistance or a happy occasion to share, a friend is a friend forever. A friend is always there, willing to listen, share, help, or simply be there, whether things are good or terrible.
