Relationships are charming and exciting, to begin with; they get you passionate about what will happen the next day, daily. However, as time goes on, you discover that maintaining a relationship isn’t easy. These are the five unknown mistakes people make in relationships, and you should be aware of them.

1. Not respecting each other’s personal space.

While active connection and participation with each other is a good thing to do, remember to spend time away from each other because you both have separate lives.

You don’t need to have all of the same buddies and drag each other everywhere you go. You must live your life to the fullest, no matter what.

2. Holding a grudge for a pointless argument.

The most prevalent blunder is that you both tend to carry grudges even after you’ve gone through a hard period. This would cause you to keep the same thought in your head for the rest of your life, making you feel as if you had been the victim of some sort of injustice.

3. Expecting a lot.

Expecting a few things from your partners, such as emotional support, loyalty, and honesty, is good, but you cannot, and are not expected to, expect them to always keep you smiling and happy.

You must handle a few aspects of your life on your own and do not expect them to be involved and assist you with every issue.

4. Setting No Priorities

When one of you has all of your priorities in order, and the other is simply unsure of where to spend their energies in life.

You may dismiss this as a minor detail because you believe you already spend enough time with your partner and that your role ends there, but that is precisely where you begin. This is a deal-breaker because it’s a clear indication that you’re not serious about your relationship or personal life, and that you can’t handle both at the same time.

5. Jealousy.

It’s not uncommon for people to be envious of each other’s friends/BFFs, especially when that friend is of the opposing sex. You must appreciate the fact that each of you has your level of comfort with friends, and hanging out with them should not be an issue for your partner. When it comes to “Friends,” just trust him/them.

There are no perfect relationships. It’s up to you to find the ideal mate for you.
