Arnold Schwarzenegger came from a very humble beginning. He was born in Austria and had an abusive childhood, but that didn’t stop him. Even a family tragedy couldn’t stop him from achieving his goals. He overcame adversity nearly every step of the way on his road to becoming the greatest action star of all time.

On July 30, 1947, in Thal, Austria, Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger was born to Gustav and Aurelia Schwarzenegger. He was poor as a child, and one of the joys of his childhood was when his family purchased a refrigerator.

In one of his most amazing speeches, he explains how he was unsatisfied with his life in Austria. He didn’t want to settle for anything less. He didn’t see himself as becoming a farmer or a worker in a factory. Even though his parents wanted him to stay there and have a normal life, that was their vision. His vision was different; he felt that he was born for something special, for something unique, for something big.

Talking about his dream and aim he says ” I saw a magazine there’s a bodybuilding magazine that had Reg Park on the cover bridge. Park was then a three-time Mr. Universe and I saw him on the big screen as Hercules. I read that and I said to myself wow this is the blueprint for my life this is exactly what I want to do I want to become a bodybuilding champion just like Reg Park I want to get into movies just like Reg Park and I want to make millions of dollars and be rich and famous just like Reg Park do you know how great it felt that I knew where I was going imagine the majority of people don’t know where they’re going”

According to Arnold when you have an aim and goal in life everything becomes clear. You get a clear vision of the life you wish for and you can make efforts accordingly to achieve those goals.

“I’m shooting for gold in front of me is the Mr. Universe title so every rep that I do gets me closer to accomplishing that chord to make this core this vision turn into reality every single set that I do every repetition every weight that I lift will get me a step closer to turn the score in the reality so I couldn’t wait to do another 500-pound squat I couldn’t wait to do another 500-pound bench press I couldn’t wait to do another 2000 reps of sit-ups I couldn’t wait for the next exercise with the age of 20 I went to London and I wanted to miss the universe contest as the youngest Mr. Universe ever and it was because I had a goal”

Arnold says when you have a clear vision in life it becomes easy to achieve your goal. Visualizing your goal makes it easy and fun to go after it. And this theory helped him to become governor of California.
