Baby blues normally start within the first two to three days after childbirth and may remain for up to two weeks.

9. Severe anger and irritation.

10. Suspicion that you’re not a good mom.

11. Hopelessness and despair.

12. Feelings of worthlessness, guilt, sorrow, or inadequacy.

13. Weakened capacity to think clearly, concentrate or make judgments.

14. Uneasiness, serious anxiety, and panic attacks.

15. Feelings of hurting yourself or your newborn.

16. Regular thoughts of death or suicide.

Treatment of Postpartum depression

If you retain indications of postpartum depression, you should consult your doctor as soon as possible for you. so that you can get your treatment started. There are two major treatments for postpartum depression, which are medication and therapy. Either one can be used individually. But they may be more beneficial when used together.

1. Medication

Antidepressants retain an immediate effect on the brain. They modify the chemicals that regulate your mood. They won’t work right away, and it can take some weeks of taking the medication before you recognize the difference in your mood.

2. Therapy

A psychiatrist, psychologist, or another mental health specialist can deliver counseling. Therapy can enable you to make understanding of violent thoughts and deliver techniques for working through them.
