1. Support your back

To reduce your back pain by sitting in front of a computer, you need to adjust your chair properly to give proper support to your back. Get a correctly adjusted chair, one that is easily adjustable.

2. Adjust your chair

Adjust your chair in such a manner that you can use the keyboard with your wrists and forearm straight.

3. Rest your feet on the floor

Sit in such a way that your feet touch the ground. If it doesn’t then use a footrest. It will help you rest your feet at a level which is comfortable.

4. Place your screen at the level of your eyes

Your screen needs to be in front of your eye and you should be at least 20 inches away from the screen. See to it that the screen is not too high or not too low, because if it is then you need to lower or higher your neck, and it can be painful.

5. Place your keyboard straight in from of you

When you are typing, check if the keyboard is right in front of you. Keep a gap of at least 4-6 inches. Keep your elbows in L shape.

6. Keep the mouse close

Keep the mouse of the computer as close as possible to you. It will help you to keep your wrist straight and avoid bending of the back.

7. Avoid using bifocals

If you are a person using bifocal specs, then it may not be good while working on a computer. It is important that you are able to see the screen easily. If using bifocals when working on the computer is uncomfortable then use any other type of spectacles.

8. Keep objects easy to reach

Keep the mostly used objects in such a way that it is easy for you to reach and it doesn’t require too much Stretching of your arms.
