Better the sleep schedule, better the health

Very few people might know this, but our body works on a particular 24-hour active sleep cycle known as Circadian rhythm. Our brain basically collects data from our body about how tired we are or how long we have been awake and estimates a correct time to sleep. If you follow a strict sleeping schedule, your sleep cycle will work without any error and make you sleepy at night at the same time every day. But if for some reason you happen to disrupt this cycle by forcefully staying up late even when you are sleepy or any other reason than it greatly affects your health as sleep is one of the most important characteristics that helps our body remain fit.

Some best ways to improve your sleeping schedule can include controlling your exposure to the sunlight. Our brain produces melatonin that makes us sleepy when we are in darkness, specifically at night. You should also try to be more relaxed and try to relive your stress if any. You can’t sleep properly with an upset and disturbed mind. Avoid taking those short naps in the afternoon or evening. You only feel like sleeping in the day time as you may be probably bored or too lazy to do anything else. Sleeping even for a little time in the day can make you sleep late in the night disturbing your sleep cycle. Exercising daily also can be a good way to make yourself tired and sleepy at night. If you don’t do any physical activities throughout the day, your brain doesn’t feel the need to take rest or sleep. Use changed clean sheets and a comfortable mattress. Comfort is most important for you to have a maximum deep sleep at night.

We may have to work late sometimes at night. Life brings difficulties along with it as we grow and it makes it tough to focus on a proper sleep schedule. But even so, try your best to maintain a strict schedule for food and sleep. This will help you be healthy and happy.
