Syria, the country is known to have suffered one of the largest and deadliest humanitarian crises in the world till now. The backdrop of the Arab Spring 10 years back, caused a violence against the street protests by Syrians which led to a Civil War.
The reasons why Syria is known as the country beyond saving are as follows:
Syrian people are continuing to face unimaginable suffering and torture since the past 10 years. Millions of people have been killed out of which approximately 55,000 were children.
According to estimates, since the beginning of the war around 4.8 million children were born during the war. These children are only familiar with the environment of blood, war and sufferings.
Nearly 5.5 million Syrians have crossed borders and sought shelter in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan. The living conditions of the refugees are extremely dire.
The war has destroyed a lot of Syria’s infrastructure and as a result the town and cities have to be rebuilt again. Electricity infrastructure is in ruin and health care workers have fled away.
Refugees want to leave behind the living conditions in camp and return to their home. However it is still not safe for them to return.
Additionally, their homes, villages and cities have been destroyed beyond repair.
