Make Chicken Momos At Home Without Steamer

Dim Sum, or delicate, hot, and succulent chicken momos, are the simplest meal you can cook from scratch. Heated and steamy momos filled with sautéed chicken and a range of veggies, seasoned with soy sauce and pepper, are a tasty treat any time of day, whether it’s a frigid winter afternoon or an evening with a shower of rain. But what if you don’t have a machine with which to steam the momos?

Here is how you can make momos without steamer

Ingredients

1. 2 cups flour (all-purpose)

2. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

3. 1 cup minced chicken

4. 1 standard size onion, roughly chopped

5. 1/4 teaspoon powdered black pepper

6. 1/2 tablespoons garlic paste

7. 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce

8. 1/4 tsp. vinegar

9. 1 tablespoon oil (processed)

Recipe

1. Add some chopped chicken, onions, garlic chutney, soy sauce, vinegar, salt, and black pepper powder to a mixing dish.

2. Place all-purpose flour in a mixing dish. Combine the salt, refined oil, and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Knead the dough until it becomes a solid consistency, then wrap it with a damp towel and set it aside for at least 20-25 min.

3. Separate the towel from the dough and mix it again. Make little balls of dough and spread them out.

4. Put the filling in the middle of rolled dough in a circle. You can form the momos however you want. It can take the form of a folded bag or a half-moon shape. Make sure they’re properly sealed.

5. Choose a container with a deep bottom. Put 3 huge balls of crumpled aluminum foil on the table. After that, take a ceramic dish and brush some oil on it before placing it over the aluminum foil balls. Ensure the dish is on a flat surface. Fill the pot halfway with water and bring to a simmer. Then reduce the heat to low and let the water boil. Put the momos in a way that they don’t overpopulate. Allow for 15-30 min of steaming time after covering with a top.
