Masseter is the strongest muscle in the body. It is found only in mammals and is influential in herbivores that chew food. On the other hand, the tongue is said to be not the most vital part of the body as it is made of eight different muscles. However, the power humans’ tongue holds is way more substantial and impactful than we think.
Thinking it is not strong is a mistake, it has a power many can’t imagine. Along with performing huge and essential bodily functions, it has the power of words.
The tongue helps us speak and communicate appropriately with others. Not just this, our language has impacted changing the whole world. The saying that ‘Word is a sword’ refers to each word that comes out of our tongue.
Valuable words from someone have an impact on others. For example, if someone is depressed, wise and positive comments will help them move on and heal. Many personalities show how their power of talking and voicing has changed the world.
Some such people are Guru Gaur Gopal Das, Rabindranath Tagore, Gulzar Sahab etc. Apart from verbal power, the tongue is responsible for taste. Without tongues, life would have been very dull and boring. Because of the language, we can enjoy the richness of different food and flavour.
Hence, the tongue is not the strongest but powerful enough to change the world.
