NET stands for National Eligibility Test. It is also known as UGC NET or NTA-UGC-NET. It is an exam conducted by a National testing agency with the help of the University Grant Commission.
This is an online exam conducted two times a year in the months of December and June. On successfully clearing this exam. Candidates can apply for jobs as junior professors in a private or government college. This is a respected profession and also you get good packages. On clearing, you can get a job anywhere in India. You have two papers 1 and 2. The candidate must attempt both papers in 3 hours. The cut percent of the general category is 40% and that of ST/OBC/PwD/Transgender is 35%. IN order to get a lectureship you have to score between 54-60% and for the casts is 49-56.
CET stands for Common Entrance Test. This exam is conducted for r12th pass students for further education like engineering courses, Dental courses, and Medical. This is a moderately competitive exam. The average percentile for a good percentile changes each year depending on students. You have to score around 70% to get admission to a good college. This score may vary for minorities and categories.
