When you are on a job hunt, you search for opportunities that are available on all sources of recruitment. But many times people are faced with the issue of getting fake calls posing as recruiters. Many con men and fake people take advantage of the situation for fraudulent activities. However, when we are sincerely searching for opportunities, we might fall right into the trap and end up being victims of this scam. Here are a few ways to figure out if the call you are receiving for the job is a scam or not.

1) A scammer will never be able to fully convey proper information about the job and your responsibilities at the new job. They will sound unprofessional over the call.

2) When the recruiter does not reveal the name of the company or even their name over the call.

3) When they ask for some kind of payment in advance it is proof that this is indeed a scam call and not really a job opportunity. Many times they ask for payments in the form of the registration fee, application fee, etc. Any kind of money asking business is an indicator of the call being fake.

4) They are never fully able to answer or resolve your doubts and queries relating to the job. They will try to get out of it by giving vague answers.

5) If the supposed recruiter asks for personal details like bank details, personal address, etc, it indicates that it is a scam. No company asks for bank details over a job call.
