1. Ramnarain Ruia College

Ramnarain Ruia College is located in the heart of Mumbai, next to the Hindu colony and Poddar College, between the Dadar and Matunga railway stations. There are approximately 35 undergraduate courses available. The Shikshana Prasaraka Mandali, Pune, founded the institution in 1937, making it the first of its kind in Mumbai. It’s a part of the University of Mumbai. Admission to the college is determined by university standards.

2. Ruparel College

Ruparel College, also known as D. G. Ruparel College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, was founded in 1952. It is associated with the University of Mumbai and is located in Matunga, Mumbai. The college has a total enrollment of around 1500 students. There are approximately 19 undergraduate and a few postgraduate programmes available. The NAAC re-accredited the college with the renowned ‘A’ Grade in 2010. It is also active in sports, consistently ranking among the top five in the University of Mumbai’s sports rankings.

3. St. Xavier’s College

From the academic year 2010-11, St. Xavier’s College has operated as an autonomous college under the University of Mumbai. In October 2007, Xavier’s applied for Academic Autonomy. The University Grants Commission visited the College in early April 2010, and the Commission evaluated the proposal for autonomy at its meeting on May 4th, 2010. Academic Autonomy entrusts the Faculty of St. Xavier’s College with the task of devising its courses, defining its syllabi, and evaluating its students.

4. Jai Hind College

Jai Hind College is located in Mumbai, close to Churchgate Railway Station and Marine Drive. There are about 20 undergraduate courses available. The college was founded in 1948 by a group of teachers from Karachi’s D. J. Sind College. Academic merit at the secondary level is used to determine admission to the institution. Jai Hind has now grown to become one of Mumbai’s most prestigious educational institutes.

5. KC College

Kishinchand Chellaram College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, or KC College, is a University of Mumbai-affiliated educational institution. Churchgate is a neighbourhood in Mumbai, Maharashtra, where the college is located. Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board guided its establishment in 1954.

Following being relocated to the city after partition, KC College was the second management institute to be established in Bombay. Around 26 undergraduate courses and 26 trust and non-college scholarships are available at the college.
