Manoj Bajpayee is one of the most versatile and finest actors in Bollywood. He has achieved a milestone in his career with his skills and talents. But life was not always easy for him. He didn’t come from a wealthy family. He studied in a hut-school till 4th grade and then after completed his education till 12th grade from Bettiah. He was inspired by Nasaruddin Shah and Om Puri which motivated him to register himself to the National School of Drama. Luck was not always on his side and hence he got rejected from NSD, which made him feel like committing suicide.
He got his first break in Ram Gopal Varma film Satya released in the year 1988. His work was acknowledged and he received awards for his work in this film. In one of his interviews, he said that he tried to kill himself due to stress and anxiety as his 3-4 films didn’t do well, due to which he stopped getting work after that. But he got inspired by Mahesh Bhatt’s word “Don’t leave this city, it will get you everything”. After which he started work again with strong determination.
Manoj Bajpayee is often regarded as a method actor which makes him a director’s actor. He has gained a lot of recognition due to his unconventional roles. Despite not being a part of any big production he has not given up at all and continues to explore his talent and work in versatile movies.
