3 Self Defense Techniques To Knock One Out In Self Defense

Knowing how to defend yourself is a smart thing nowadays. The majority of the most basic self-defense movements aim to confuse your assailant and give you time to flee, but there are a couple that can actually knock your adversary out if done correctly. Continue reading to learn how to execute some of these maneuvers.

Here are 3 self-defense techniques to knock one out

1. Headbutt

Grab the attacker’s clothing with both hands in the center of the chest, right below the collar or neckline.

Push forward with your entire body weight into the attacker until their upper body leans back. The attacker loses their balance and their shoulders disengage as a result of this action.

Use your arms to bring the attacker back toward your head as soon as their shoulders disengage. Strike quickly to the right or left of the crown of your head; if you strike in the middle, your head may crack. Bring your head down so that the top of your head hits the attacker’s nose as their nose descends down as you drag the attacker toward you.

Make a top-of-the-head strike. The nose is a sensitive pressure point, and if you strike it hard enough, you can knock someone out.

2. Strike to the nose

Depending on whether your attacker is in front of you or behind you, you can strike their nose, but the movement you utilize will change depending on your starting location.

If your assailant is in front of you, you must move ahead; conversely, if your attacker is behind you, you must move backward.

When facing your opponent, open your palm and punch straight forward, striking the base of the nose and shoving it back. To exert the most force, throw your weight into the strike.

If the attacker is behind you, bend and lift your arm so that your elbow points toward the assailant’s face. By turning your upper body enough, you can throw your elbow into the side of the attacker’s nose.

Another pressure point on the body is the center side of the nose, on either side. If you strike hard enough, the attacker’s nose will break and he will fall unconscious.

3. Knee to Head

To begin, stand with your feet, shoulder-width apart and your knees slightly bent. Your hands should be up and ready to move, and your non-dominant foot should be slightly ahead of your dominant foot.

The attacker should be crouched down and no more than a half-distance leg’s away. A knee to the pelvis or a powerful kick to the shin might be used to take down your opponent.

With the heels of your palms, slam down on both of your attacker’s shoulders. So that you can use maximum force, throw your full upper body weight into the gesture. Bring your dominant leg forward while pushing your attacker’s shoulders down to strike them in the nose or chin for maximum impact.
