Ways To Nurture Your Soul

1. Tell it like it is

When we’re looking for answers to life’s big concerns, we talk of “searching our soul.” The soul is both the source of and a desire for our own truth. We must seek out and tell the truth. Skate by the truth as your soul understands it, and you’ll return to the subject you avoided sooner or later. The soul will accept nothing less than the absolute truth.

2. Spend Time in the Natural Environment

You will know the soul of the ground if you live near it. When you understand the soul of nature, you will understand your own. Spend time in nature and allow yourself to connect with all living creatures to find your position in the natural order of things.

You will see yourself as a part of nature, no different from the stars or the trees.

3. Your Own Personal Experience

The soul is an experienced junkie. It adores everything! The soul has no preference for joy or suffering; all it wants is for us to feel whatever is genuine at the time. Feel and experience loss and sadness as they strike. New doors open and immense freedom enters as a result of these more difficult emotions.

Live your joy and passion out loud when they are there.

4. Live on the Precipice

Live on the outskirts of your life. It is there where the soul thrives. The soul seeks possibilities beyond what is already known, safe, and familiar. It has no concept of what “impossible” means. What is known already is known already.

The “juice” of the soul is found in the unknown, where anything is possible. The soul invites us to approach the cliff’s edge and then go beyond.

5. Learn to dance on crooked ground

There will be days when the sun does not shine in your life. Regardless, dance. There will be difficult periods in life. Dance with your discomfort. The spirit is drawn to the dark, cramped spaces within. Its job is to open up those spaces so that light can shine in and out.

Dance with the cards you’ve been dealt, then tell the truth. If the soul isn’t a great dancer, it’s nothing.

6. Laugh till your stomach hurts

Laughter is a powerful antidote to depression. Nothing can boost your spirits and brighten your soul like a good belly laugh that spreads throughout your entire body. At least once a week, go on a “laughing date.”

7. Meditation

Meditation entails entering the inner temple of the soul. The soul’s whisper can be heard here. After crawling through the desert, meditation is like drinking water. It satisfies the soul’s desire for quiet and peace.
