“Accepting yourself and stop seeking approval is the key to happiness,” this quote tells you so much in just a tiny chunk, this is the power words hold! When we learn to accept ourselves, we truly become “we” and understand and appreciate ourselves as a unique breathing individual who is capable of moving mountains, who can be whatever they want to if they yearn to. But why is this “accepting yourself” so important? In this extract, we shall have a look at how self-acceptance is a key to happiness.

No person in this world can make us feel less, unhappy or less important if you don’t give them the power to do so. What is that power? That power is self-acceptance. Yes, you read it right. When you accept yourself truly for what you are (for the way you look, you think, you behave, etc) when you do that you learn to appreciate your existence. You don’t self doubt your body or your capabilities.

Because when you learn to not self doubt you eventually stop seeking approvals about your body, behaviour etc. Judgement, be it positive or negative affects individuals.

So seeking approval from others is just equivalent to them “judging” you and providing you with their outcomes. When you don’t give them the power of judgement or approval you let yourself be you. If you accept yourself the way you are and do not yearn to seek approval from others the outcome is, you tend to be happier.
