From a young age, we all experience emotions. The variety of emotions we experience in a day might shift substantially as adults trying to manage the often tumultuous environment of modern living.
We rarely pause to consider our feelings and pay attention to them. We don’t think about how it affects our mental and bodily states, or the long-term consequences of holding on to feelings that could be harmful.
Emotions are encoded in our DNA and are assumed to have evolved as a means of assisting us in responding swiftly to various environmental challenges, similar to our fight or flight reaction. Anger, annoyance, fear, anxiety, sadness, guilt, apathy, despair, are all examples of negative emotions.
Ignoring your feelings is not the best approach to handle them. This does not make them disappear, but it can cause them to manifest in various ways. That’s because your emotions serve as indicators of whether or not what you’re doing in your life is working.
Furthermore, if you don’t deal with your emotions, they might have a negative impact on your physical and emotional health.

The habit of ruminating on anger, resentment, and other unpleasant feelings, has health repercussions as well. As a result, it’s critical to pay attention to your feelings and acknowledge them. This is the process of learning what your body is trying to tell you through bad feelings.
Once you pay attention to your negative emotions, try to understand them. Look inside yourself to see what situations are causing you tension and unpleasant feelings.
A triggering event, such as an excessive workload, can result in negative emotions.
Negative emotions can also be the outcome of our interpretations of events; how we understand what happened might affect how we feel the event and whether or not it produces tension.
Once you have acknowledged and understood the root cause of your negative emotions, make changes in your life that are related to the negative emotions you are experiencing. You can only change the things that you have control over. The things that aren’t in your control, let it go gracefully.
