True personal freedom means being able to live your life as you see fit, doing what you want, and spending time with people you enjoy. Personal liberty is a distant ideal for many of us. We’re shackled by responsibilities that we never wanted in the first place. So, why do we continue to live lives we don’t want?

Here are simple ways to earn your freedom

1. Get Rid of what’s holding you back

True freedom necessitates the sacrifice of things that obstruct your freedom. Determine what is enslaving you and leading you to be unhappy. You must let go of these things and release yourself in order to be truly free. Then and only then will you discover serenity and pleasure.

2. Forgiveness

Everyone is tormented by memories of past events and experiences. There isn’t a single person who goes through life without experiencing some type of trauma that causes profound wounds and scars. In order to grow stronger and wiser and to earn your freedom, it is necessary to find a means to reconcile with the past. That is a significant obstacle to overcome in order to live a prosperous life.

3. Let go off the need to be perfect

The constant need to be perfect cages us and affects our mental well-being. At its heart, perfectionism is about the stories we tell ourselves about who we should be and what we should do.

It’s all about setting ambitious, often unrealistic goals for ourselves and comparing where we are now to where we believe we should be. And it’s all too often for us to beat ourselves when we fall short or miss the mark.

When you let go off the need to be perfect, you earn your freedom

4. Change your perspective

True freedom comes with changing your perspective on life. Whatever you do, make sure you’re doing it because you want to. And live a life of honor and focus on yourself. Concentrate on the positives.
