Ingredients

1 cup of chana dal (washed)

3 cups of water

1 cup of sugar

1 tsp of cardamom powder

1 tsp of grated nutmeg

Ingredients for the dough:

2 cups of maida

1 tsp of salt

2 tablespoons of ghee

1 cup of water

Method

Pressure For three to four whistles, boil the chana dal. Allow it to cool completely. Then drain and thoroughly mash it.
Heat a large wok and add the mashed chana dal. Stir in the sugar and ghee until well combined. After a while, stir in the cardamom powder and nutmeg.
Stir over low heat until the mixture is dry. Set aside and allow to cool. Combine maida, salt, and ghee in a mixing dish. Make a semi-soft dough with the water.
Make little balls of dough and roll them out to form a small circle. Place the filling in the centre of the rolled-out dough. Connect the two ends. Dust and roll one more to form a circle.
Preheat a griddle and place the Puran Poli on it. Cooking on both sides Apply ghee to the pan and cook till golden brown.
Serve immediately.
