Men tend to gradually experience a decline in their sex drive as they age and this degree varies from person to person. Most men are able to maintain it up to the age of 60 to 70 years.

Underlying conditions such as depression, stress, illicit drug use, alcoholism, and fatigue are often the main cause of loss of sex drive in men. Another reason might be the medication side effects and endocrine disorder caused by the decrease in male sex hormones.

The usual habits that lead to a decline in sex drive are as follows;

1. Working a Lot

If your partner has turned to be a workaholic, then stress and sleep are likely to be his acquaintance which plays a huge role in lowering sex drive. Work affects a man’s desire for sex.

2. Staying Up Late

Too much work comes with no good night’s sleep. Lack of sleep hinders the sex drive of every partner. In older men, sleep apnea which is caused by snoring is believed to reduce sexual satisfaction.

3. Neglected Mental Health

Low levels of dopamine and other feel-good hormones due to depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders can lower sexual drives. Therefore, for a better sex drive, mental health should not be neglected.

4. Emotional Instability

If your partner’s emotional well-being is being disrupted, it is likely for him to lose interest in sex. He needs to relax and get rid of the stress. Yoga or meditation are the best ways to make him feel relaxed and gain his emotional stability.
