News is abounding with the infidelity of celebrities, athletes and politicians. Even various films and series are based on it. The General Social Survey has discovered that many people considered infidelity to be wrong and yet it is on the rise.

According to the research of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, men are more likely to cheat but they have seen a surge in ladies’ infidelity in recent years. The conventional reason for why men cheat is that they seek quantity whereas women seek quality in a relationship.

Men sought infidelity for physical needs while women cheat to find emotional qualities that they find lacking in their marriage. Some experts say that women are not the only ones who seek intimacy and attention. Men tend to commit adultery feeling underappreciated. Additionally, they don’t cheat because men find someone attractive. Instead studies have claimed that 88% of men don’t find other women attractive than their spouses.

Another expert believes that women are somewhat responsible for their husband’s infidelity as they fail to make their spouse feel like a superhero. Women’s infidelity has been on the rise because their presence in the workplace has increased and they are often required to travel.

Furthermore, powerful professionals such as athletes, doctors, lawyers, celebrities, and others with wealth and status attract attention and further infidelity.
