Listen to yourself: There’s an instance in the film where Chris takes his son to play basketball, we see that his son Christopher isn’t very good at it. But, he believes he can be a good player, to which Chris makes him understand that he wasn’t very good at basketball growing up, and knowing how genes work, his son shouldn’t expect much. Hearing this, his son throws the ball and begins to pack up. After which Chris explain to him that, “Don’t ever listen to somebody telling you, you can’t do something, not even me. You got a dream, you gotta protect it. When people can’t do something themselves, they tell you can’t do something. You want something, go get it. Period.”Chris teach his son that getting discouraged is easy, but believing and fighting back is difficult and the one who doesn’t give up often the one who succeeds.

Perseverance is the key to success: The movie ‘Pursuit of happyness’ teach us that the ultimate key to success is perseverance. Having a strong determination and passion ffor your goal keeps you motivated and help you reach your goal. Not only strong determination but also having a desire to make efforts to reach your goal is very important. Without efforts and determination achieving the success won’t be possible. You need to make every effort and try every alternative to get what you want.

Failure are a part of life: Chris faces a number of setbacks and failure in his life in film. But as we see he never gives up or get demotivated due to them. Failures are stepping stones to success and this is rightly proven in the film. The film makes us realise that failure in not negative but it is beginning of a change which will be Success only if we don’t underestimate ourselves. Challenging failure and working very hard to achieve what you want is a good sign of a progressive person.

Face every situation in life calmly: There are many incidents where Chris knew that situation isn’t very good, but the way he faces every situation no matter what with a smile teach us a lot of things. We should try to accept the situation rather than running away from it. Bad times and bad people doesn’t last longer in your life only if you have the skill of calmly dealing with them, instead of getting panicked and bothered by them. We shouldn’t let them affect us negatively.

Most pursuits for happiness may never end: Human beings are never satisfied, and that’s completely fine.
