Elon Musk and Ratan Tata are both living legends who have changed the automobile business.

Both Tata and Musk have a sizable following in India.

Ratan Tata is a well-known industrialist throughout the world, not just in India.

Several business heavyweights, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk, have expressed their admiration for Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus.

Ratan Tata, the 50-year-old millionaire, has previously been praised as a “scholar and a gentleman” by him.

In an interview with Charlie Rose in 2009, Musk praised Tata when Rose inquired about the Tata Nano car, which had just been released at the time. “Consider Ratan Tata’s work in India, where he is developing a compact car for $2300. What does this mean in terms of where cars are going in the future?” Rose had inquired about Elon Musk.

Ratan Tata is a name I’m familiar with. I believe it’s a brilliant idea to have affordable automobiles, Elon Musk said. While Musk seemed sceptical about the proposition, it was clear that he admired Tata. The trouble with something like this is that it’s a lovely notion. I wouldn’t call it a problem because Ratan Tata is a gentleman and scholar.

However, if gasoline prices rise, the cost of purchasing a car will become less of a worry than the cost of operating it,” he said. While the Tata Nano was initially priced very low, Musk appeared to be hinting that the Tata Nano’s cost advantage would be lost in the long term due to rising gasoline prices. Musk was correct all along.
