Every person goes through painful memories and has painful thoughts in their mind, but this does not mean you have to keep thinking about the painful incident. You need to free those painful thoughts from your find.
There are several ways through which you can free yourself from painful thoughts.

1. Create a positive mantra

The way you talk to yourself can either move you forward or keep you stuck. i.e the way you talk to yourself will either help you to let go of painful thoughts or keep you stuck in those painful thoughts. Many times having a positive mantra that you can tell yourself in times of emotional pain will help you renovate your thoughts.

For eg: Instead of thinking like ” why is this happening with me”? or “why am I the only one going through this”? You can think like “yes, I am capable to come out of this problematic situation”.

2. Be gentle to yourself

If you criticize yourself every time you encounter pain, then you need to stop it and you need to show some kindness to yourself, it will help you to let go of painful thoughts.

3. Keep physical distance

If a particular person or a particular situation is causing you pain and leading to painful thoughts, then it’s time to keep yourself away from that person or situation.

4. Engage in self-care

When we go through pain or when we have painful thoughts, we tend to hurt ourselves and our minds. So we need to give ourselves a self-care, which will make you as well as your mind relax. Do things that make you joyous and gives you comfort.

5. Surround yourself with people who make you happy

Your loved ones, your family, and your close friends can be the ones who can make you happy. They will always support you and love you and all this will make you happy. And when you are happy you will be able to free yourself from painful thoughts.
