“When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.” — Alexander Graham Bell.

You are squandering your present if you keep repeating the past. However, once you decide to let go of the past, you are pulled to new goals, new visions, and new people, all of which will take you to a new chapter of progress in your life. Our lives aren’t supposed to be stagnant. Change occurs for a reason, and the less resistance you generate against it, the more growth opportunities you will have.

All of your experiences are forming the very core of your being, bringing you closer to the knowledge you came here to gain. Believe that each learning event will help you get closer to understanding your life lesson. Each experience does not have to be viewed as great or negative, but each experience is important for our progress to take place.

When we are experiencing a terrible element of life, our brains search the past for similar memories to match up with the current unpleasantness, confirming it. “You always end up in these horrible relationships,” the voice says. Why do you do this all the time?” This is the result of the filtering and matching procedure. Your mind and memories will work together to create a powerful new positive picture of your life after you let go of what is hurting you.

If you want to live the life of your dreams, you must concentrate on the now, look to the future, and let go of the past. Allow yourself to forgive yourself for previous mistakes and shortcomings. You can’t do anything about them right now. Break free from the shackles that are holding you back and start living the life you deserve.

Use everything you’ve learnt in the past to aid you in achieving your objectives and living your ambitions. Then, put the past behind you and go on with your life.
