Your mind is capable of anything and everything. It is awesome. But sometimes it can shatter us and can be ruthless than anything else. Yes, you should listen to what your mind says, but you shouldn’t let your mind control your life. There are certain times when you realize your mind is taking over your life.

1. When you want to say ‘No’ but you end up saying ‘Yes’

This happens with many of us. In several situations, we want to say ‘No’ to a particular thing but we end up saying ‘Yes. In various circumstances our heart would tell us, ‘No’ you don’t want to do it or you are tired to do it but our mind tells us to do it and we say ‘Yes. For eg: if at your workplace, your colleague asks you to do his task, but you don’t want to do it but your mind tells you to accept it.

So you don’t have control over what you want.

2. When you ignore natural inclination

Your mind is smart. Your mind isn’t into all that myths and assumptions, it just wants facts. So your mind only loves to do what is factual and you end up doing it.

For eg . Have you ever thought of calling a friend, with whom you have not spoken for many years, you would want to call him but then your mind tells you don’t call the person, it is too long he won’t remember you. So you don’t call that person.

But have you paid attention to one of those inclinations and gone after it. If you would have followed your inclination, you might have called the person and you would have reunited with them. When we listen to our mind, we ignore all those little voices, which tell us something different, but we listen to our mind and act differently.

3. When you try to control someone else

When you try to control other people, their life, in small and big matters, it is troublesome and rude. Your mind thinks it is capable of everything, so it also has the right to control others and you think everyone should behave according to you. Your mind knows whatever it thinks is always best and you can’t be wrong. And you become too controlling towards others.
